My problem is the opposite. I think I need 2 hours for stuff that needs 15 min
I can get ready in 15 min if I have unlimited prep time
I’m gonna spend 2-4 hrs waiting for it to be time to get ready, and then when it is time, I will be doomscrolling and realize I’ve only left myself 10 min to get ready when it takes 15.
Also, once I really had my stuff together and got ready in 15 minutes so that’s my time, even though I repeatedly prove that it takes 20. ᕕ(ᐛ)ᕗ
My problem is that I know I can get ready in 15mins so I just leave it until the absolute last moment despite constantly thinking it would be nice not doing that.
For years I would wake up, have a shower, iron a shirt and be out of the house to work in 20mins.
And every time I’m a little late. I hate yesterday me so much
What really worked for me is to set exactly only 2 watches in my hose 5 minutes later. Because I check them allt the time while I am doing things I forgot which I put in advance and be a lil bit faster.
I prep all my stuff the night before and get my arse up an hour early for work so I have built in time to fart around. Still 15 mins early but I can clock out early too because of it 😄

I can get ready in 3 minutes I just need 57 minutes to get out of bed first
Ready in 90 seconds. 20 minutes of approaching the front door and backing away convinced that I’ve forgotten something. Then 10 minutes to find the thing I forgot when I turn back round in 5 minutes because I remembered after I left.
The truth is you can, and you know you can because you have gotten ready in 5 minutes before.
The catch is you need planetary alignment for it, or in other words you are not in control of choosing how much time it takes.
What does this have to do with autism? Sounds more like ADHD problems.
Well, I (Autism and no ADHD) have a hard time waking up on weekdays because of my sensory issues (since I live with my parents who do anything but accommodate them). I wake up normally on weekends, because no one bullies me first thing in the morning.
I should have signed up for a school where I would be eligible for a dorm - not solely for that reason (In Slovenia, the dorm eligibility is calculated mainly from the distance between your home and the college), but I didn’t. Great.
ADHD and autism are in many parts very simliar, so I never know if its “just autism”. there is also audhd.
Depending if I need the bathroom or how long the dog takes outside, I can roll out of bed and be in my car heading to work in under 15 minutes.
Yes I have adhd.
